| FAQs - CABINS, GROUNDS, ACTIVITIES Our cabins are fully modern. This means that you have a stove, fridge, shower, etc. All beddings and linens are provided, as are dishes, pots, and pans. You do need to bring your own beach towels. - What do I need to bring? The cottages have fully equipped kitchens, with utensils, cooking ware, microwaves, and coffee makers. Fresh linens are provided, including bath towels and dish towels. As noted, please bring your own beach towels. Sunscreen, bug repellent, camera, and your fishing rods are also great ideas! - Are laundry facilities nearby? Yes, we have a laundry room for our guests. Schedule and rates are posted in the laundry room. - What recreational activities are available nearby? There are nature trails for hiking, miniature golf, golf course, canoeing, fishing and rock climbing. Rushing River Provincial Park is 15 minutes away. We also have canoes and a paddle boat available for our guests' use. For our guests, there is no charge; we simply ask that you respect the craft and do not abuse the vessel. Float plane tours, murals, art gallery, shopping, cinema, MS Kenora cruises on The Lake of the Woods, a fantastic museum, historic buildings tour and more. -I need Internet access to check my e-mails. No problem, we are a "hot spot" for wireless access and sell access cards from North One Communication for $5.00 per 4 hours access. - Is there a place for swimming? Yes, we have a small beach area for easy access to the water. There is a diving board and there are some toys for the kids. Children grow so much by watching others; let your children watch and learn, or be teachers of others, as they learn to swim. - Do you allow pets? No, please make other arrangements for your pets. FAQs - Fishing - Do you sell licenses? Yes, you can purchase both hunting and fishing licenses at the office. Fishing licenses cover different time periods and there are regular as well as conservationist licences. - Where can I buy bait? We sell minnows and worms at the office. - Where can I rent a boat? We rent boats and motors at the resort. Please check our Rates page for more information. - Can I bring my own boat? Yes - we have the capability to launch boats at the resort. A small fee applies to dockage; please let us know when you make your reservation. - Can we access Lake of the Woods by boat? Yes, there is a conveyor belt system at the south end of Longbow Lake. Tokens to operate the lift can be purchased at the camp store. |
